Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
15 ounces tomato sauce
8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
Stir in the taco seasoning and tomato sauce.
Add the uncooked elbow macaroni and 2 cups of water to the skillet.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the pasta is tender and the liquid has been absorbed, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cumin or chili powder with the taco seasoning.
If you prefer a creamier pasta, you can add about 1/4 cup of milk or sour cream at the end with the cheese.
This recipe is easily customizable. Feel free to add your favorite taco toppings like diced tomatoes, lettuce, or a dollop of sour cream.
