Make a flavorful BBQ chicken pizza fast using store-bought flatbread. This recipe is perfect for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large pieces naan bread or flatbread
  • 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup smoked gouda cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius). Place a baking sheet in the oven while it preheats.
  2. Place the flatbread pieces on a piece of parchment paper.
  3. Spread 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce evenly over each flatbread, leaving a small border for the crust.
  4. Distribute the shredded chicken over the sauce on both flatbreads.
  5. Top the chicken evenly with the mozzarella and smoked gouda cheeses.
  6. Scatter the sliced red onion over the cheese layer.
  7. Carefully remove the hot baking sheet from the oven. Slide the parchment paper with the pizzas onto the hot sheet.
  8. Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the flatbread edges are crisp.
  9. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh cilantro, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an air fryer, cook at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 to 8 minutes, checking frequently.
  • Use your favorite thick BBQ sauce for the best flavor.
  • If you prefer a spicier pizza, add a dash of hot sauce to the BBQ sauce before spreading.
