Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16.5 ounce) can refrigerated seamless crescent rolls
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped peeled apple (like Fuji or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the seams together to form a rectangle.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough.
  4. Scatter the chopped apples over the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  5. Drizzle half of the melted butter over the apples and sugar.
  6. Starting from one of the long sides, tightly roll up the dough.
  7. Slice the roll into 8 equal pieces.
  8. Place the cinnamon roll slices cut-side up in the prepared baking dish.
  9. Drizzle the remaining melted butter over the tops of the rolls.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  11. While the rolls are still warm, drizzle generously with caramel sauce.
  12. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle this glaze over the caramel-covered rolls.
  13. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an extra gooey center, you can add a tablespoon of caramel sauce to the center of the dough before rolling.
  • If you don’t have crescent roll dough, puff pastry can be used as an alternative.
  • Feel free to add a handful of chopped pecans or walnuts with the apples for added texture.
