A recipe to recreate the creamy, savory sauce found inside the Taco Bell Chicken Quesadilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the mayonnaise, sour cream, water, softened cream cheese, white vinegar, sugar, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper into a food processor or blender.
  2. Process the mixture until it is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste the sauce and adjust salt or cayenne pepper if you prefer more seasoning.
  4. Transfer the sauce to an airtight container.
  5. Refrigerate the sauce for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to combine.

Notes

  • This sauce works well as a dipping sauce for fries or as a topping for burritos.
  • If you do not have a food processor, you can vigorously whisk the ingredients together in a bowl until smooth, ensuring the cream cheese is very soft first.
  • For a tangier flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon more white vinegar.
