A thick, protein-rich smoothie bowl featuring a strong vanilla flavor, perfect for a quick breakfast or post-workout meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower florets (optional, for thickness)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or less, for thicker consistency)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum (optional, for extra thickness)
  • Toppings: fresh berries, granola, chia seeds

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen banana, frozen cauliflower, vanilla protein powder, vanilla extract, almond milk, and almond butter into a high-powered blender.
  2. Add the xanthan gum, if using.
  3. Start blending on low, using the tamper tool to push the ingredients toward the blades. Add only tiny amounts of extra liquid if the blender stalls completely.
  4. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and very thick, resembling soft-serve ice cream.
  5. Scoop the thick mixture into a bowl.
  6. Arrange your desired toppings over the base.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use only frozen fruit for the best thick texture. If your fruit is not frozen, add 4-5 ice cubes.
  • For a dairy-free option, ensure your protein powder is plant-based.
  • To prevent melting, prepare your toppings before blending the base.
