Make quick, cheesy pizza bites using refrigerated biscuit dough for a simple appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup mini pepperoni slices (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the biscuit dough into individual pieces. Flatten each biscuit piece slightly with your fingers or a rolling pin until it forms a small circle, about 3 inches wide.
  3. Place about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce in the center of each flattened biscuit.
  4. Top the sauce with a small amount of mozzarella cheese and a few pepperoni slices, if using.
  5. Fold the edges of the dough up and over the filling, pinching the seams tightly to seal the filling inside and form a ball. Place the sealed balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush the tops of the sealed pizza bites with the garlic butter mixture.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and puffed.
  8. Serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For a crispier exterior, you can lightly spray the tops with cooking spray before brushing with garlic butter.
  • If you prefer a from-scratch dough, use your favorite simple pizza dough recipe and cut it into small squares before filling.
  • You can substitute mozzarella with provolone or a pizza blend cheese.
