A light and refreshing fruit salad featuring a delicate dressing made with orange blossom water and honey, topped with fresh mint and crunchy pistachios.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups strawberries, halved or quartered
  • 2 cups cantaloupe, cubed
  • 2 cups honeydew melon, cubed
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon orange blossom water
  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, thinly sliced (chiffonade)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all the fruit: wash, hull, and cut the strawberries, and cube the melons. Place all prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the fresh orange juice, honey, and orange blossom water until the honey is fully dissolved into the liquid. This is your dressing.
  3. Gently pour the dressing over the fruit mixture. Toss the fruit carefully to coat everything evenly without crushing the softer pieces.
  4. Cover the bowl and chill the fruit salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Just before serving, sprinkle the chopped pistachios and the sliced mint leaves over the top of the salad.
  6. Serve cold as a light dessert or side dish.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use high-quality orange blossom water. A little goes a long way.
  • Substitute fruits like mango, kiwi, or segmented oranges work well in this combination.
  • If you do not have pistachios, toasted slivered almonds make a good alternative topping.
