A rich, sweet, no-bake dip flavored like a buckeye candy, perfect for parties or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon shortening or coconut oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the peanut butter and softened cream cheese together until smooth.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until fully combined and creamy.
  3. Press the peanut butter mixture into a serving dish.
  4. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and shortening or coconut oil.
  5. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is smooth and melted.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate evenly over the peanut butter layer.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate topping is set.
  8. Serve cold with pretzels, apples, or graham crackers.

Notes

  • For a quicker set time, chill the dip for 30 minutes before topping with chocolate.
  • You can use milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet for a sweeter flavor.
  • If you do not have shortening, use coconut oil for the chocolate topping.
