Prepare these simple, no-cook breakfasts the night before for quick, healthy meals ready for busy mornings. This guide covers the basic formula and three popular variations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (not instant)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt (optional, for creaminess)
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener (maple syrup or honey)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Flavor additions (see below)

Instructions

  1. Combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, milk, Greek yogurt (if using), sweetener, and salt in a jar or container with a lid.
  2. Stir well to combine all ingredients. Make sure no dry oats are stuck at the bottom.
  3. Add your chosen flavor additions (Cinnamon Roll, Berry, or High Protein mix-ins).
  4. Seal the container and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours, but preferably overnight.
  5. In the morning, stir the mixture. If it is too thick, add a splash more milk until you reach your desired consistency.
  6. Eat cold directly from the container.

Notes

  • Use rolled oats or old-fashioned oats; instant oats become too mushy.
  • For a thicker texture, increase chia seeds to 1.5 tablespoons.
  • If you prefer a sweeter result, add sweetener in the morning after tasting.
  • These keep well in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
